Cynthea Corfah has been recognized as the Spring 2017 recipient of the General Syed Ali Zamin Memorial Scholarship. Corfah is a senior majoring in Mass Communication with a concentration in print journalism. She has been a student worker in Access Services since 2014. “I feel so honored to be the recipient of such an important award,” she says. “To be rewarded for my hard work at Middleton over the last two years made me feel appreciated and valued.”
The $500 scholarship, which is awarded twice a year, was established in 2015 by means of a gift from the Zamin family. The scholarship recognizes a student worker employed in the Access Services unit who demonstrates the same professional work ethic and love of LSU Libraries as did their father.
