Sarah Mahler has been recognized as recipient of the General Syed Ali Zamin Memorial Scholarship for the 2017-2018 school year. Mahler is a junior majoring in International Studies. She has been a student worker in Access Services since 2015. “I am beyond grateful, and I’m humbled to have this opportunity to receive the Zamin Scholarship,” she says. “It will empower me to represent LSU Libraries and succeed in my studies.”
The $500 scholarship, which is awarded twice a year, was established in 2015 by means of a gift from the Zamin family. The scholarship recognizes a student worker employed in the Access Services unit who demonstrates the same professional work ethic and love of LSU Libraries as did their father.
