LSU launches institutional repository

LSU Libraries and the Office of Research & Economic Development have collaborated on the establishment of an Institutional Repository though bepress Digital Commons. Digital Commons (DC) is the leading hosted institutional repository software, and is used by more than 400 universities and schools across the nation. With Digital Commons, LSU faculty can publish their research in a secure platform that can be accessed by researchers worldwide.

students on computerLSU Digital Commons supports a variety of intellectual output, including journal articles, pre-prints, working papers, presentations, creative works, media files (both audio and video), and other representations of scholarly work. In addition, the platform enables open-access journal publishing, electronic theses and dissertation review and deposit, and conference site hosting. This is a great opportunity for faculty to publish scholarly work at no cost, and will give thousands of people immediate access.
