InterLibrary Loan delivery service

Posted in Announcements, Resources

womanwithlaptopMaterial ordered through InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is now available to faculty and staff for delivery to departmental mailboxes.  Items should be requested as usual by submitting an ILLiad request and specifying the preferred delivery method on the form.

This new service will expand the increased number of delivery services of library materials offered by LSU Libraries in recent years. In January 2013, a pilot launched, delivering scanned articles and book chapters to LSU faculty and staff by email. The pilot was a success, and in July of the same year, the service was expanded to include graduate students. This past January, microfilm was added as available through the delivery services.

“Folks tend to want their information quickly and conveniently, and by nature of what we do, Interlibrary Loan Services is in an excellent position to make that happen,” said Head of Interlibrary Loan Megan Lounsberry, who launched these popular delivery services. “We hope people will take advantage of our services and provide feedback as we continue to look for ways to evolve and meet user needs.”
