Display of architecture projects in Middleton Library

ARCH 2001 Middleton DisplayA display of ARCH 2001 projects is currently on view in the Middleton Library lobby. Six groups of undergraduate architecture students each constructed a 1:1 (full scale) study kiosk and presentation board. They spent two weeks researching and designing, and then four days building their designs. This was a “kit-of-parts” project in which each team was given a set number of specifically-sized materials (in this case, 25 pieces of 2″ x 4″ x 8′ dimensional lumber and 2 sheets of 1/2″ x 4′ x 8′ plywood) they were allowed to use to construct their designs. An open house and competition for the project were held at the Architecture School on September 8th.
