Middleton Library is Extending its Hours
Beginning this Sunday, October 5, for one month only, Middleton Library will stay open until 2 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays (i.e., midnight Sunday until 2 a.m. Monday, and so on). The longer hours will be provided on an experimental basis, to determine whether the library is used during these hours and whether the later hours will continue.
Only the first floor of the library will stay open, and no reference or circulation services will be available.
“This dead of midnight is the noon of thought,
And wisdom mounts her zenith with the stars.”
Anna Letitia Barbauld, English poet, 1743-1825

It is a great idea that the library is now closing at 2:00 AM.
I mean they should keep doing it from now on!

LSU is joining many universities with extended hours libraries. Harvard, and even the University of South Carolina (the only two I know off the top of my head) have 24 HOUR libraries. I do most of my studying between midnight and 5am anyway. Now, try to keep CC’s open!

This is a great idea… most students cannot study at home because of distractions. I think the library should remain open 24 hours but 2 am is a great start!

Yes! Indeed!! It is a great idea!! If the library remain open 24 hrs, then it would be wonderful.
