Self-Service Checkout and Renewal
Middleton Library, LSU Libraries, is pleased to announce self-service for checking out and renewing books and journals. The QuickCheck machine is located on the first floor of Middleton near the Circulation Desk. For checkouts, just swipe your ID with the card reader and then scan the barcode in the back of the book or journal. For renewals, just swipe your ID card and select the items on the screen for renewal. A receipt will be emailed to you. It’s quick, easy, and private.

This is great. Now, would you all place a “renew your items” sub-menu under the Library Resources pull-down menu of everyone’s PAWS Desktop? This would be excellent and save several clicks for renewing items. In fact, on the Library e-mails sent out as reminders for items coming due, it would be great to have a URL link directly to one’s PAWS page to do so, similar to what employee’s have when they get an e-mail from HRM about Leave Certification. Thanks.
